Although it is NOT mandatory to have a caddy, it is highly likely that a good number of professional golfers at the Bromont Open will require the assistance of a caddy for the competition rounds.
Some players arrive on Monday or Tuesday and want a caddy for practice rounds too. Others prefer to have a caddy only for the competition rounds (Thursday to Sunday) or only for the final rounds (Saturday and Sunday).
It is preferable for caddies to be available for at least all four days of competition, but entries for two or three days are also accepted.
Caddies must be able to walk 18 holes over several days, carry a bag weighing around 20 kg, and have a basic knowledge of golf. Unless requested by the players, caddies are not required to give advice and should focus on carrying the bag, raking sand bunkers, cleaning clubs and balls, handling flags, etc.
Players are required to pay a minimum of 50 Canadian dollars per day of work.
Exceptionally for the Bromont Open, caddies who register via the volunteers’ portal will be entitled to the same benefits as other volunteers, including participation in the various draws and the volunteer tournament and BBQ on July 22.
To register as a caddy, please access the registration form on the volunteers’ portal and select CADDIES.
