Volunteering at the Bromont Open Tournament is a great way to meet new people and get up close and personal with the PGA Tour Americas professionals, who will be playing on PGA TOUR courses in the near future.
Nearly 300 volunteers will be needed to ensure the smooth running of the Bromont Open 2024 at Golf Château-Bromont. There’s something for every taste and skill.
Each volunteer will receive :
- A polo shirt and cap in the tournament colors;
- An identification card giving you access to the site even on days when you are not volunteering;
- Four (4) tickets giving access to the tournament (Thursday & Friday), that you can transfer to your friends and family;
- Refreshments and lunches during your shifts;
- Access to volunteers’ parking near the field;
- Invitation to the volunteer tournament followed by a BBQ on Monday, July 22nd at Golf Château-Bromont;
- Participation in monthly prize draws during the registration period;
- For each shift worked, one entry in the draw for participation prizes awarded at the end of the tournament;
- Preferential rates for accommodation at Hôtel Château-Bromont.

Here is a brief overview of the positions to be filled
Installation / Dismantling
These volunteers will be responsible for assisting with the setup and/or dismantling of tournament equipment, including leaderboards, signage, sponsor posters, tents, ropes, and other items. Volunteers are needed from July 11th to 14th and in the afternoon of Sunday, July 21st.
Volunteer Headquarters
This committee oversees the volunteer headquarters, which serves as the central gathering place for all volunteers. Responsibilities include registering volunteers upon arrival at the site, issuing uniforms and accreditations, distributing meals, and assisting with volunteer shift changes.
Spectator reception
Volunteers assigned to this committee will greet spectators upon their arrival at the site, distribute maps and flyers, and provide directions to various hotspots and services located throughout the course.
Walking Scorers
The walking scorer accompanies a group of golfers on the course and records each golfer’s shots using an electronic device (the size of a phone). This device transmits the data to the PGA TOUR Americas scoring system via the Central Scoring System. Live results and statistics are then available on PGATOUR.com.
Marshals / Crowd control
The Marshals main task is to control crowd’s movements to enable the safe movement of players and spectators, and to ensure that the public respects the rules during play.
Marshals / Spotters
Spotters are positioned at strategic points on the course. Their job is to follow player’s tee shots and help locate stray balls.
Group Marshals
The Group Marshals accompany featured groups of golfers (local and/or leader) troughout their rounds, ensuring that spectators follow the rules during play.
Player shuttle
Shuttle drivers will transport players and caddies in multi-seat carts on certain holes within the course.
Ecology
This group of volunteers ensures the distribution of refreshments, ice, and other items for players, caddies, and officials at strategic locations on the course. Additionally, this team ensures that PGA TOUR Americas’ sanitary standards are met in designated tournament areas.
Standard bearer
During the final rounds on Saturday and Sunday, the standard bearer accompanies one of the leading groups along the course and carries a banner displaying the players’ scores as instructed by the accompanying scorekeeper.
